Don't Fret!

Introduction

Don't Fret! is a fretboard note-training app for guitar players. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information the app stores, how it uses that information, and the choices you have.

The short version: Don't Fret! works entirely on your device. It never connects to the internet, never transmits any data, and never collects personal information of any kind.

Information We Collect

Don't Fret! does not collect personal information. The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Practice session settings — your preferred strings, fret range, card count, timer settings, and tuning selection.
• Custom tunings — any custom guitar tunings you create and save.
• Practice statistics — your attempt count, correct answer count, and response times per string and fret position. These are used only to display your progress within the app.
• App preferences — whether to play string sounds and whether to remember your last session settings.

No names, email addresses, location data, contacts, payment information, device identifiers, or any other personal information is ever collected.

How We Use Information

All stored data is used solely to provide the app's core features:

• Your session settings are saved so the app can restore your last configuration when you return.
• Your custom tunings are saved so you can reuse them across sessions.
• Your practice statistics are stored so the app can display your accuracy and response-time history per fret and string.

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond making the app work for you.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage system. It is never uploaded, synced, or shared with any server or third party.

You can delete all stored data at any time from the app's Settings screen using the "Reset All Data" option. Deleting the app from your device also removes all associated data.

Don't Fret! does not require an internet connection and does not make any network requests.

Third-Party Services

Don't Fret! does not use any third-party analytics tools, advertising networks, crash-reporting services, or SDKs. No data is shared with or collected by any third party.

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain information about app downloads and usage as part of operating the App Store. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.

Children's Privacy

Don't Fret! does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no personal data is gathered or transmitted, the app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. Continued use of Don't Fret! after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Because the app collects no personal data and operates entirely offline, changes to this policy are expected to be infrequent.
